ADVCT for Android
Direct from the developer. No Google account required.
How to install
- Download the APK above on your Android device.
- Open the downloaded file. If prompted, allow your browser to install unknown apps (Settings → Install unknown apps).
- Tap Install. No account, no sign-up.
- Open ADVCT, go to Settings, and enter the license key from your purchase email.
- In the same screen, tap Download the model. ADVCT transcribes on the device itself, so the speech model (about 250 MB) is fetched once — best on Wi-Fi. It resumes if it's interrupted.
Everything ADVCT records and transcribes stays on your device. Once the model is installed, transcription never touches the network again.
What's new in 0.9.0
- Sharing with family is much simpler. Tap Share with family and choose people from your Contacts. ADVCT writes a message for each one, with an invite link.
- Straight in. They tap the link, tap Join, and they're in: no codes and no call. Your phone tells you when someone joins, and you can remove anyone at any time. Each invite works once, and one nobody uses ends after 7 days.
- Help with to-dos. Family can help with to-dos or only read. Someone who only reads can ask to help later.
- New phone? Send a new invite from Who sees your visits, and the new phone takes the old one's place.
- Who sees your visits shows everyone. Change what they can do, remove them or stop sharing.
- Your visits go into a folder in your own Google Drive, locked so only the people you add can read them. A small ADVCT invite service makes each invite work only once. It never gets your visits or anything that can open them; the privacy policy says what it holds.
- Everyone in a family needs this version, or 1.5 on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
- Also: if a record is shared with you again after you kept your copy, Join offers Replace and join. When Google Drive is busy, ADVCT tries again by itself instead of saying you're offline. Screens, dialogs and buttons stay readable at the largest text and display size. Visits where nothing was said reach family, and to-dos claimed by family show under the name in your family list.
- From 0.8: Connect Google Drive works, and shared records are signed so nobody can quietly edit what your family sees. There is nothing to turn on. And ADVCT has a new icon.

Updates
ADVCT checks for new versions automatically (at most once a day, sending nothing about you or your device) and updates itself in-app. New releases are also always published on this page.
